The MKR-7-3 is built to handle a variety of tasks using 4 replaceable inserts: 3 metal faces for chasing and 1 nylon face for working metal without leaving any marks. Use the included hex key to change faces. For more nylon faces, this hammer can use the 821-7043 set of 9 inserts created for use with the HMR-7 hammer. Fretz casts their hammer heads from 420 stainless steel and tool hardens them to 50 HRC. This Maker series delivers quality hammers at a more affordable price point, with handles made from American ash. Made in Vietnam.
